Prerequisites

• Ratchet, Field Medic // Ratchet, Rescue Racer on the battlefield
• Sculpting Steel in hand
• Ashes of the Abhorrent on the battlefield
• Ratchet on the battlefield as Ratchet, Rescue Racer
• You have gained at least 1 life this turn
• You have a way to gain any amount of life
• plus enough mana to pay for commander tax, if applicable available

Steps

1. Cast Sculpting Steel by paying , causing it to enter the battlefield as a copy of Ratchet, Rescue Racer
2. Put Ratchet into your graveyard due to the legend rule
3. Choose to return Ratchet to the command zone from your graveyard
4. Sculpting Steel triggers, failing to convert it
5. Cast Ratchet from the command zone as Ratchet, Field Medic by paying plus commander tax, if applicable
6. Gain any amount of life
7. Ratchet, Field Medic triggers, converting itself
8. Put Ratchet into your graveyard due to the legend rule
9. Choose not to return Ratchet to the command zone from your graveyard
10. Ratchet, Field Medic and Ashes of the Abhorrent trigger
11. Resolve the Ratchet, Field Medic trigger, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield
12. Resolve the Ashes of the Abhorrent trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
13. Repeat from step 7
