Steps

1. Cast Servant of the Scale by paying , causing it to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Servant of the Scale, adding
3. When Servant of the Scale dies, it triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Evolution Witness
4. Evolution Witness triggers, returning Servant of the Scale from your graveyard to your hand
5. Repeat
