Steps

1. Cast Chain of Acid for targeting an indestructible noncreature permanent you control
2. Witherbloom Apprentice triggers, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain 1 life
3. Resolve Chain of Acid, failing to destroy the target and copying Chain of Acid targeting the same permanent
4. Repeat from step 2
