Prerequisites
- Storvald, Frost Giant Jarl in hand or in the command zone
- Tree of Redemption on the battlefield
- Near-Death Experience on the battlefield
- Alchemist's Refuge on the battlefield
- Tree of Redemption does not have summoning sickness
- plus enough mana to pay for commander tax, if applicable available
Steps
- On the end step prior to your turn, activate Alchemist's Refuge's second ability by paying and tapping it, allowing you to cast spells this turn as though they have flash
- Cast Storvald either from your hand or from the command zone by paying and commander tax, if applicable
- When Storvald enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing Tree or Redemption's power and toughness to become 1 until end of turn
- Activate Tree of Redemption by tapping it, causing your life total to become 1
- At the beginning of your upkeep, Near-Death Experience triggers, causing you to win the game
