Steps

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying and either or two life
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token
3. The Soldier enters the battlefield, triggering Trostani, causing you to gain 1 life
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion, causing it to enter the battlefield, triggering itself and Trostani
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand
6. Resolve the Trostani trigger, causing you to gain two life
7. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Spirit token, adding
8. Repeat
