Steps

1. Cast Peer into the Abyss by paying , causing the opponent named by Black Vise to draw half their library and lose half their life, rounded up
2. At the beginning of that opponent's next upkeep, Black Vise triggers, dealing damage to the named opponent equal to the number of cards in their hand minus four
3. The opponent loses the game due to having zero or less life
